Try with the below-mentioned steps,

  1. You must first launch QuickBooks Messenger in order to accomplish this.
  2. After that, select Actions from the drop-down menu.
  3. Then, click on the option that reads ‘Close Company File for Users’.
  4. Select the user whose QuickBooks you want to terminate by clicking on his or her name.
  5. Now, select Close Company File from the drop-down menu.
  6. When you're finished, go to the Confirmation window.
  7. Then you'd have to click Yes at the end.
  8. QuickBooks will be closed for the users.
  9. You can also choose to turn off QuickBooks Messenger entirely.

The steps are as follows:

  1. You must first log into the QB Instant Messenger in order to disable it.
  2. Then you'd have to sign in as an Administrator only in the multi-user mode.
  3. Navigate to the File or Utility folder.
  4. You'll need to select Disable from the drop-down menu.
  5. The QuickBooks Instant Messenger will be disabled as a result of this action.
  6. Alternative options for logging a user out of QuickBooks Enterprise.
